The ring ceremony was preformed by the Rev. John T. Webb, pastore of the Harrisonville Christian Church. The bride is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Phillips. She was a member of the 1914 Graduating Class of the Harrisonville High School, and is also a graduate of Central Missouri State Teacher’s College at Warrensburg, finishing her work in that school in 1919. Last year, she was the efficient principal of the public school at Freeman, this county. She is very accomplished, and was classed among the best educators of Cass county. The groom is a son of Mrs. J.E. (Nannie A.) Myers, living in the Freeman community, and is a prominent young farmer and stockman, whose sterling worth will pave his way to the top of the ladder of success. As the young couple descended the stairway, Mendelssohn’s Wedding March was softly played by Miss Macelle M. Steinkamp, and the ceremony was performed in the presence of the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. John H. Phillips, the bride’s parents; Mr. and Mrs. Russell B. Gillian and little daughter, Mildred; Mr. and Mrs. C.F. (Fred) Mayer and daughter, Vivian, and Mrs. John T. Webb. Following the ceremony, refreshments of ice cream and cake were served. Mr. and Mrs. Myers will be at home on a farm, northwest of Freeman, after July 1, where they will receive the congratulations and best wishes of their innumerable friends, in which the DEMOCRAT most heartily joins. ********************************************* USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
