This picture was taken fifty years ago or so. Photographers would travel through the countryside taking pictures of town signs, churches, depots, schools, government buildings, etc. and then make them into postcards to sell. This may have been the case with this photo. This picture was possibly taken as one enters Peculiar, traveling northwest, on Old 71 (Peculiar Drive) from Harrisonville.
